FAQ
Brew recipes
We believe coffee preferences are highly individual and we are advocates for preparing and drinking coffee any way you like. All our coffees are light roasts between 100-80 Agtrons depending on process and generally easily soluble for any commonly used recipes.
For a standard pour-over, we recommend a starting point of 15G coffee to 250G water, a medium fine grind (freshly ground as needed) and off-boil, soft, filtered water. If you find excessive bitterness in your cup or heavy, muted flavours, slightly coarsen the grind for your next brew.
We are working on more detailed recipes for specific methods and to enhance your experiences, but we won’t dictate how to enjoy our coffee.
Roast date / resting coffee
All our coffees are roasted on a Stronghold S7X roaster, aiming for a clean, balanced and structured cup. Whilst all coffee will be tasty when very fresh, we recommend allowing the beans to degas for 7-14 days for a more flavourful, round and less bitter drinking experience.
Shipping
We roast all coffee on Mondays and ship throughout the week. All our orders are tracked - you will receive an email with tracking number after dispatch. Whilst domestic UK orders usually arrive 3-4 days after dispatch, it may take up to 7-10 days after dispatch until they arrive. If you think your order has gone missing, please drop us a line and we’ll check on it for you.
We ship our coffees pretty much worldwide - if you don't find an option to ship to your country, please get in touch with us here and we'll find a solution.
